This software helps extract attachments from Outlook mail.
Attachment Processor can help process attached files in the Microsoft Outlook messages. It can automatically extract attachments from the incoming messages. These are then saved separately. These extracted attachments are replaced with a link to the file on the disk. You have the option of creating a text file with a link for the attachments too. This has one direct benefit of keeping the size of the mail file under control. This is a well known problem. When the mail file grows, the mail system slows down. The attachments could be compressed into a zip file easily with this tool. These archives could be password protected too. This zipping operation could be specified for a particular type(s) of files too. This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time.
There are two modes of operation for the application. In the advanced mode, it is possible to set rules for processing attachments. These rules could be different for different messages and mail folders. Several schemes are available in either the advanced or the normal mode. These schemes allow for naming folders on the disk where attachments are saved. You also have seven basic schemes for renaming attachments. Support for an elementary macro-language is available. This can be used for naming schemes. To facilitate the moving of the folders containing the attachments, the tool includes a utility that helps updating links in the message base of Microsoft Outlook. This tool has both an automatic as well as a manual mode. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
